Diary of the Bougie Broad

Life through the eyes of a young, quirky, intelligent, bougie broad.

Bougie.  Snobby.  Bratty.  Spoiled.  Uppity.  Pretentious.  Stuck up.  Snotty.  Self-centered.  Vain.  Conceited.  Sadiddy.  Bitchy.  Selfish.  Yes I have heard them all.  Do these words truly describe me? Not so much.  But either way, these words and many others, have shaped my thinking, how I see the world, and how I live my life.  My blog entries are not meant to be deep, educational, or life changing.  Rather just thought provoking.  I want to foster conversation (good or bad).  Thank you for gracing me with your presence (or should you be thanking me...hmmmm... just kidding!)

So apparently there is a rumor flying around that I Love New York and Flavor of Love are staged.  Shocker!  These rumors stem from a posting on a VH1 message board by an insider.

I don't know why this is all of a sudden a news flash.  Check in with Media Take Out for the full story, but the highlights are as follows:

  • Ms. New York aka Kenya Simmons is a former exotic dancer who has made her rounds on the casting call circuit for reality shows.  She was rejected three times from The Bachelor lol.  Are we really surprised?
  • Sister Patterson aka Leslie Bibbs is not Ms. New York's real mother.  Again, come on people.  Duh.  But get this; allegedly, Leslie and Kenya are only 5 years apart.  HAHAHAHA.  No comment... I refuse to get into this conversation.
  • The Flavor of Love girls were duped into thinking they were auditioning for an acting show/contest rather than a dating show in which they were to compete for the affection of Flava Flav.  Acting *sigh*?  Are they really serious?

Mind you this is all speculation.  I don't know if I believe the validity of these rumors but I do strongly believe that this show is fake fake FAKE!

Can we just talk about why there is a season two of I Love New York?  How many more times can we stand to watch New York chain smoke, shake her toosh and curse like a dude (Oh and I can't forget watch her slowly turn into a bootleg Barbie doll)?

I really hope VH1 viewers do not think this crap is real.  If you really want reality, watch the news... damn that isn't even a good example anymore.  Hmmmm how about National Geographic programs? Lol.
