So I am driving into work listening to HOT 99.5 (yes I do like this station and I am getting very sick of the Russ Parr Morning show) in my beautiful, new car (yes I am pressed) and I can’t believe what I heard.  Kane, the morning personality, announced that they made an offer to Bobby Brown that he hopefully won’t be dumb enough to refuse. 

As we all know (but probably don’t care), Bobby is locked up (again) and being held until he pays child support that he owes in the amount of $19,150.00.  HOT 99.5 has offered to pay Bobby’s debt, for the sake of the children.   In exchange for his release and the repayment of the child support, he must come to DC and “work” for HOT 99.5 lol.  This means that they would fly him out to DC, pay for his lodging and security in exchange for him to help out around the station for a week.

BRILLIANT! Yes it is appalling that they are willing to bail this man out, but at the same time, this is a marvelous marketing/PR scheme.  Not only do Bobby’s children get the money they deserve, HOT 99.5 gets great publicity regardless of what Bobby decides to do and so does Bobby.  Even if Bobby says no, HOT 99.5 will be known for offering to pay Bobby Brown’s back owed child support and Bobby will be known for not accepting $19,000.00 lol.

Now, what I don’t understand is why a woman called in to say that someone needs to pay the child support owed to her.  Does she not understand that she’s not famous?  Yes, her story is heartbreaking like many other women and men fighting to get the child support owed to their children, but let’s be real… you are not famous lol.

Nonetheless, this cracked me up.  Thoughts?
