Diary of the Bougie Broad

Life through the eyes of a young, quirky, intelligent, bougie broad.

Bougie.  Snobby.  Bratty.  Spoiled.  Uppity.  Pretentious.  Stuck up.  Snotty.  Self-centered.  Vain.  Conceited.  Sadiddy.  Bitchy.  Selfish.  Yes I have heard them all.  Do these words truly describe me? Not so much.  But either way, these words and many others, have shaped my thinking, how I see the world, and how I live my life.  My blog entries are not meant to be deep, educational, or life changing.  Rather just thought provoking.  I want to foster conversation (good or bad).  Thank you for gracing me with your presence (or should you be thanking me...hmmmm... just kidding!)

"Michael Richards (aka Kramer), is that how you really feel?"

Please watch the following clip (be warned that you will be offended by what you see):

There is NO way Michael Richards will be able to salvage his career after this blatant show of racism.  I can not believe he thought this was okay.  I guess what bothers me even more is that he threw around the racist comments and word “nigger”, knowing that they would get out… so basically he just doesn’t care?

Ignorance is scary, but when people who know what they are saying and/or thinking are wrong, yet continue spewing this trash from their mouths—that is scarier.

Honestly I am shocked, offended, appalled, disgusted but sadly am not surprised.  Well I never really watched Seinfeld but I guarantee you that I will not be watching it and letting this racist man get rich off of me.  Nope.

So sad.

"Kramer's" Racist Tirade — Caught on Tape

WARNING: WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO SEE IS PROFANE AND RACIAL

Michael Richards exploded in anger as he performed at a famous L.A. comedy club last Friday, hurling racial epithets that left the crowd gasping, and TMZ has obtained exclusive video of the ugly incident.

Richards, who played the wacky Cosmo Kramer on the hit TV show "Seinfeld," appeared onstage at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood. It appears two guys, both African-American, were in the cheap seats playfully heckling Richards when suddenly, the comedian lost it.

The camera started rolling just as Richards began his attack, screaming at one of the men, "Fifty years ago we'd have you upside down with a f***ing fork up your ass."

Richards continued, "You can talk, you can talk, you're brave now motherf**ker. Throw his ass out. He's a nigger! He's a nigger! He's a nigger! A nigger, look, there's a nigger!"

The crowd is visibly and audibly confused and upset. Richards responds by saying, "They're going to arrest me for calling a black man a nigger."

One of the men who was the object of Richard's tirade was outraged, shouting back "That's un-f***ing called for, ain't necessary."

After the three-minute tirade, it appears the majority of the audience members got up and left in disgust.

Attempts to reach Richards' reps were unsuccessful.

Hi it's random again from your upgrade u entry... I am passed shocked after watching this video... I really don't have much to say about it because I am still in awe of what I have just seen and heard but it just proves to the world that racism will never die no matter what people do... The world, well let me rephrase that the US is by far one of the worst if not the worst countries in the world...

        Dear Random,

Thanks for stopping by again!  Yes, this video was shocking and just a reminder of how far we have to go in terms of "ridding" the world and country of racism--I don't even know if this is possible.  Please read my next blog entry about Michael Richards' so called apology on Letterman last night.
